KMKZ (or Kamikaze) were a short-lived predecessor to the band Taxpayer. Fewer than 5 shows were played under the name before the switch to Taxpayer became official.

The songs that make up this CD were actually written and recorded in 2000, right before the band went on a couple year hiatus as the members finished up school. By the time the guys got back together in 2003 and released this CD, they were already writing the songs that would make up Taxpayer's "I'll Do My Best to Stay Healthy."
